Dancer, choreographer and currently creator of experimental video, Frédérique Chauveaux continually seeks to multiply her artistics experiences.
After having danced for several years with different choreographers, she runed her own company : Le pont des arts, from 1984 up to 1996 for wich she create  many parts questioning for the majority the always preoccupating relationship to the « other-lover »…
Parallel with her current activities as creator of video, and teacher of contemporary dance (Company A. Preljocaj, Company M. Marin, etc…), she collaborates as choreographer with theatre and opera directors (Roman Polanski, Antoine Vitez, André Hengel) for the Opéra Bastille, the Théâtre de Champs Elysées, the Opéra Garnier.
During the year 1998 she discovers an unexpected passion : the video.
This new medium enables her to pose under a new light her glance on the body wich quite naturally becomes the principal object/subject of it.
Progressively she likes to imagine video installations by wich she trys to physically and sensualy implicate the audience. Once again, the "body" is at the center of her preocupations or rather, it stays the source from wich her all work comes from.
